Why I was able to quit my job in 3 months

3 months.

That’s how long it took for me to escape my 9 to 5.

I started learning copywriting as a beginner in January 2019.

In March 2019, I put in my two weeks notice.

And I was free, just like that.

And I’ll explain why I was able to find my freedom so fast in just a minute.

But first…

I’ll admit that this is NOT the norm.

Most copywriters don’t move this fast.

But, I’m not like most copywriters.

And neither are my students.

Like Carlos, who generated $12,000 in his first month with a 7-figure client (and earned him $1,200 on a 10% revenue share deal).

—>Carlos is from Colombia which means he just earned more than the average monthly salary from a single client… in their first month together.

Or take Chase, for example. In the first month after becoming my student, he landed 2 clients. Within 3 months, he landed a few more and was able to quit his construction job.

So, what makes me and my students different?

It’s simple: we treated copywriting like a real business from day one.

Not some little side hustle.

You see, if you want to make real money as a copywriter…

The kind that lets you splurge on a new car, trip around the world, or simply takes away every ounce of fear whenever you tap your card and make a purchase…

You need to get serious.

And devote yourself to copy mastery.

Commit yourself to learning the craft every day:

• Practice writing copy

• Read copywriting books

• Take copywriting courses

One thing I’m so glad I did early on was invest in myself.

I dropped $5,000 on my copywriting education in the first year alone.

To this day, I’m still investing in my copy education every month. Investing thousands to continue upskilling in different areas.

Never forget: always learning = always earning.

The moment you get complacent and pull back on your copy practice is the moment the other copywriters who wake up early and write beat you.

Don’t let them.

I invested 2+ hours per day into learning copy in the early stages.

That investment paid off… and paid off quickly.

Within 3 months I quit my job.

Within 7 months I hit $5,000/month.

Within 12 months I hit $9,000/month.

I completely replaced mine and my wife’s income within a year…

And by year 2-3 I was doing all of this in just 3-4 hours per day.

Travelling the world.

Waking up when I wanted.

Working when I wanted.

Playing when I wanted.

You can do the same.
