Weekend funeral
I had a funeral over the weekend.
A family member passed away.
Not a fun time by any means.
But…
Getting to travel back to my hometown…
Seeing friends and family.
That’s special.
What made it even more special?
I never had to ask anyone:
I didn’t have to email my boss for some time off.
I didn’t have to ask for vacation time.
I didn’t have to feel guilty about “ditching” my co-workers.
Don’t get me wrong…
I’ve been there before.
I know what it’s like to try to escape your 9 to 5 even for a weekend.
You feel like the bad guy. Like you’re doing something wrong.
It’s crazy.
But, this past weekend, I got to head out Friday morning (something I couldn’t have done at a day job).
Booked an Airbnb for the weekend with my wife, kids, and mother-in-law.
And decided to stay an extra night (tonight), just because we want to see some more friends. So we booked another night.
I definitely wouldn’t have been able to swing that at my last day job.
In fact, I could just choose to stay for another day if I wanted.
Or another week.
Or month.
Or year.
Funny enough, that’s how we got our current “home.”
We stayed at an Airbnb and decided to stick around long term.
Flexibility had always been something I’d dream of when I’d be scrubbing dishes, packing orders, or shingling roofs at my previous day jobs.
The ability to just duck out and leave if I wanted.
To wake up and choose to sleep in without consequence.
To travel whenever, wherever, just because I could.
That’s the power of freelance copywriting.
Freedom.
Working on your schedule.
And living on your schedule.
Something a 9 to 5 could never give you.

If you’re still struggling to build your business up…
And you’re not sure how to take the next step (or even what the next best step is)…
I’m re-opening it for a few days on February 1 (that’s in 5 days).
But, my waitlist gets early access before everyone else.
In the course, you’ll get the 4-phase roadmap to your first $5,000 month in 3-6 months.
70+ videos, lessons, assignments, checklists, templates, bonuses, and more.
All designed by somebody who’s earned over half a million as a copywriter (me)…
And helped 40+ new copywriters land their first client in one month.
"I've spent thousands of dollars on courses and I've never seen a course with this level of detail so far. It's literally having someone on your back, telling you what to do every single day in order to succeed. I cannot recommend enough that you buy this course. I’m the kind of person who never writes reviews, but the difference between the price I paid and the value I received is so significant that I felt I had to share my experience to help someone else take that step."
