Sam just landed his first client
Two days ago, I got a DM from Sam.
He’s one of my copywriting students.
And he landed his first-ever copywriting client.

First client in the bag.
$750 USD for a one-time set up.
And a retainer on deck.
How did Sam close this local real estate client?
He didn’t just say “yo can I be your copywriter for $X per month?!”
Instead…
He did 2 things well:
He analyzed her business. Looked at her copy. Her marketing. Gave her a detailed audit of what she needs to improve.
That was enough to convince her to hop on a call with him.
Once he found out exactly what she needed most on that call, he built packages to serve that need. She picked the one that worked best for her.
Next thing you know, and Sam’s got an extra $750 on top of his day job. And now Sam is positioned to walk her into the $2k retainer once he crushes the first project.
That's a potential $10k contract over 5 months, and a $12k+ client in year one.
Here's the lesson:
Most new copywriters think the bottleneck is their writing. It isn't. The bottleneck is almost always the offer and how you position yourself.
Wrong price and the prospect ghosts
Wrong scope and you burn out before month 3 (and cap your earnings)
Wrong structure and you land a one-off when you could've landed a retainer
And worst of all, wrong positioning, and you’re trying to hit a nail with a screwdriver.
In my program, Sam nailed down his audit, sales call, positioning, and offer. Now he’s a paid copywriter.
Sam sent me the lead, the call notes, the proposal draft, the packages… and I helped him optimize his pitch to help it convert.
I've got 3 spots left for May 1:1 coaching.
This is the exact thing I do with students like Sam every week:
Fix your positioning
Teach you how to create audits that get you booked calls
Show you how to handle sales calls like a pro (even if you’re new)
Train you to customize your offer and packages to convert someone
Whether you’re looking to land your first client like Sam… or you’re trying to scale your copywriting business past $10,000-$15,000/month, my coaching might be the fit to take you to the next level.
Reply with “May” and I'll send you the details.
