In 2019, I quit my cushy job to go all in copywriting.

I didn’t know how long it would take.

I didn’t know how I would do it.

But I did know one thing:

I was going to make it.

7 months into my journey…

I made my first $5,000 month.

When that money hit my bank account, I almost couldn’t believe it.

At the time, my wife and I were in our small rented apartment in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

It was about 11 pm at night.

I opened up my laptop to PayPal and clicked refresh.

Money.

“It’s here! Jenn! It’s finally here!”

My wife and I instantly started screaming, crying, hugging…

And thanking God.

We finally did it.

And, we didn’t even care that we were probably waking up the neighbors.

It was something I worked toward for months.

But something I dreamed of for years.

To have the freedom.

The autonomy.

No boss.

No commute.

No 3% raises.

Just us, our laptops, and the world in front of us.

That first $5,000 month was a stepping stone that allowed me to work for myself — knowing I never had to go back to a job again.

My wife and I finally had more than enough to live on in Thailand or Canada (where we’re from).

It’s when every doubt about being a writer faded away.

A few months later...

At the 12 month mark, I hit my first $9,000 month, replacing mine and my wife's previous combined income.

Don’t be afraid to go all in.

Don’t be afraid to take a risk.

Don’t be afraid to take a chance on yourself.

We quit our jobs, sold everything, and booked a one-way ticket across the world.

Just to chase our dream.

Copywriting allowed me to find a newfound freedom I wanted so badly for years.

Now, six years later, I’m forever grateful God gave me the courage to give it my all for my wife and kids.

It’s possible.

But, it’s all up to you.

You can choose to keep living the way you’re living.

Or burn your ships and take a leap of faith.

My advice:

Set them on fire and jump.
