It’s simple: I spent a lot of hours working on my craft early on.

As a newbie copywriter, I wrote more copy than the average newbie copywriter.

The result?

I went from newbie copywriter to novice copywriter to good copywriter…

And I did it fast.

How much time did I spend writing daily as a complete beginner?

About 2-3 hours per day.

But, wait a minute, Brandon… I thought I could reach $10,000-$20,000 per month in the next 30 days by just writing for just 15 minutes per day? That’s what the YouTube gurus told me.

Well, I hate to break it to you, but…

Despite the fact that copywriting is the quickest and easiest way to build an online business up to $5,000+ per month…

It ain’t gonna come that easy.

15 minutes per day?!

Nothing comes that easy in life.

But, Brandon, I have a day job, I’m in school, [insert all your other excuses here]. How can I possibly spend that much time on copywriting?

If I can build up a six-figure copywriting business outside of a 12-hour day job (how long I worked at my final 9 to 5 job)…

You can make it work.

Now, I’m not saying you have to spend 3 hours a day writing.

But…

I will say this: If you can’t devote 1-2 hours per day to working on your entire copywriting business (this includes writing, studying the craft, reaching out to clients)…

You’ll never hit $5,000-$10,000 per month.

Thankfully, you do have 1-2 hours per day.

In fact…

Everyone has time to scroll, time to stroll, and time to Netflix and chill.

Everyone has a commute to work or school where they can learn via audiobooks and podcasts.

Everyone has a lunch break to do a power writing session.

Everyone has a snooze button they can choose to ignore so they can outreach to clients.

Everyone can build a copywriting business outside of a 9 to 5 or school.

And spending that 1-2 hours per day practicing your copywriting — that’s the secret to writing copy as easily as riding a bike. It’s just time in the craft. The more you write copy, the easier it becomes. It just flows out of you when you get enough reps in consistently.

So what’s the difference between the $10k/month copywriters and the $0k/month copywriters?

The 10k guys treat it like a business. The 0k guys treat it like a weekend hobby.

Nobody built a six-figure copywriting business in a few minutes per day.

They built it on the weekends when everyone else was going out and having fun.

They built it in the early mornings when everyone else was fast asleep.

They built it late at night when everyone else was binging Stranger Things and Breaking Bad for 2 hours.

The winners of the copywriting game did what most people aren’t willing to do for one year…

But guess what?

Because of that, they get to live like most people dream of for 60 years.

To be able to wake up and have the peace of mind knowing they don’t have to rush out the door to some job they hate.

To be able to take a random Thursday off work to relax at the beach or play at the park with their kids.

To be able to jet off to a tropical country in the middle of winter to soak up the sun, just because you can.

To be able to have the freedom to buy that thing you’ve always wanted - a new jacket, a new car, or a meal with your loved ones at your favorite restaurant in town…

Without any stress of whether you can afford it or not.

Remember…

Nobody’s going to force you to go all in. Only you can make that choice.

But if going all in means trading off 6-12 months of evenings and weekends so you can get your dream life for decades…

I’d say that’s a pretty sweet tradeoff.

And that’s a trade I’d make 100% of the time.
