"How do you pitch clients?"

From a Reddit copywriter

Saw a post on Reddit today.

From a new copywriter:

"How do you pitch clients?

Just curious to know how do you guys approach or “approached” clients in the beginning of your career? How do you present your offer or service that they feel stupid saying no to even when you don’t have much work to show off?”

Every new copywriter wonders the same thing.

Okay, so you’re building up your copywriting skill.

You’re learning the art and science of persuasion.

You’re writing daily.

Now what?

How do you turn your skill into money?

How do you convince strangers on the internet to pay you $1,000s?

And how do you present an offer or service that they feel stupid saying ‘no’ to?

You don’t.

You don’t pitch them.

You don’t present an “offer.”

And you don’t even “approach” clients.

That stuff doesn’t matter.

It doesn’t work.

There’s only one way to land clients in 2025:

And it’s to drop Sniper Bombs on your prospects.

People always ask how to pitch clients.

How to ask them about their copy needs.

Don’t ask them about their copy needs!

Don’t pitch them! Don’t be salesy.

Instead, do something different.

Don’t ask for anything.

Instead, just GIVE.

Just give so much value to them that they don’t know what to do but talk to you.

And don’t ask them permission to do this either.

I see way too many people asking prospects if they can send something over.

STOP!

The answer is always going to be “no” from the prospect.

Don’t wait for a prospect to give you the green light to pitch them.

Just help them for free.

Go out of your way.

Don’t ask for permission.

Instead…

Look at their business.

Look at their copy.

Look at their marketing.

Find the problems. Tell them what they need to do to fix it. Write them some copy for free.

And if you’ve been studying and writing copy for even a few weeks…

You’ll be able to spot problems in their copy/marketing that YOU can solve!

If you can’t find any issues, then get back to the books, get back to writing, get back to studying OG sales letters and ads.

That’s how you land clients in 2025.

If you don’t feel confident to do this yet…

Then you need to study and write copy more.

Get 73 of the greatest sales letters and ads, written by copy legends like Gary Halbert, David Ogilvy, and Claude Hopkins.

Study it. Handcopy the ads. And use it as a swipe file to get ideas for your copy.

Then, go back to your prospects. Drop a value bomb on them. Write them an audit and a sample.

And don’t stop till you hit $5,000-$10,000/month.
