"Hooray! Your package is here"

And I'm going away for awhile (update)

My wife and Jeff Bezos have become good friends lately.

He gives her all 90% of the household products she could ever want…

(Right at her fingertips — and delivered to her front door)

And in return, she pays him some dolla dolla bills.

Amazon

5 packages in one day might be the new record

The funny thing is, these +5 packages probably bring this week’s total to about 21.

Okay, but in all seriousness, my wife doesn’t order this crazy all the time.

The reason for the influx is because we’re about to leave on a jet plane…

Halfway around the world.

And if you know anything about travelling with kids… you know that your #1 job as a parent is to do whatever you can to keep those little monkeys happy and comfortable on that flight - toys, snacks, blow-up airplane beds, entertainment, blankies, and allll the stuff.

So, where are we going?

Well, we’re going:

From freezing our toes off in the -15 C Canadian winter…

To sinking our toes into the cozy +30 C sand on the beaches of Thailand…

You see, my wife and I have been planning a trip back to the Land of Smiles for awhile now (just been hard to head out of country with a young infant).

But now that our girls are 3.5 and 1.5, we’re ready to jet.

And we couldn’t be more grateful.

Years ago, I dreamt of the freedom to be able to just leave.

Whenever.

Wherever.

With whomever.

To say sayonara to my boss and hop on a last-minute vacation to paradise.

The call to adventure is real. And it gets even more real the older you get.

I first travelled to Thailand back in 2019 — as a brand new, 26-year-old copywriter…

Now that I’m almost 32, I’m realizing how short life is.

Seeing my daughters grow up before my very eyes.

From tiny babies just a moment ago to toddlers full of energy and life and both with their own unique, God-given personalities.

You see, I dreamt of this for years.

Ever since I got married. I knew we’d have kids one day. But I also knew I didn’t want to stick to the traditional path:

Go to school, get a degree, find a 9 to 5, work 40+ hours a week, get max 2 weeks vacation each year, and retire at 65+ to finally live

I just couldn’t do that.

But I also had no idea how to get the freedom I was after.

I knew it had to be some kind of business, but I didn’t know where to start.

So for 5 years, I tried several online and offline businesses to try to get the freedom I craved so badly.

Dropshipping, sales, bookkeeping, web development, Facebook flipping, service arbitrage, eBay, ebooks, and more.

Heck, at one point, I was convinced a “Beanie Babies business” was my ticket to freedom

That was a nice use of $375 — the only money I had to my name at the time.

I struggled for years to make it work…

All the while I’d constantly hear these success stories of others who had made it online. Who were living the dream. Making more money than they’d ever made. Working whenever and wherever they wanted. Having full control over their destiny.

So why couldn’t I do it?

To say I was frustrated is an understatement.

So in 2019, I decided enough was enough. And I went all in on copywriting. I decided this was the last business model I’d ever try. I decided this was the one I would make work no matter what.

…And that 2019 was my year to win:

  • Finally go after my dreams

  • Quit my job

  • Start my own business

  • Make money online

  • Travel the world with my wife

  • Set my own schedule

  • Be my own boss

  • And live life on my terms

And that’s exactly what happened.

My wife and I booked a one-way flight to Thailand set to leave 6 months later (on June 4, 2019)

And I gave myself no choice but to succeed in that 6 month time frame.

It wasn’t easy. I often felt alone. That nobody understood. None of my friends and family had any desire to do something online. They felt it was “risky” and that I should just play it safe, get a degree, and a stable 9 to 5.

But to me, that sounded like a nightmare.

The early mornings and late nights — when I’d be doing a power writing session or hand copying a Gary Halbert sales letter — they were often flooded with doubts.

But I made myself immovable from my goal.

Stubborn. And dead set on one thing.

And when we hopped on that one-way flight from Vancouver, Canada on June 4, 2019…

All those doubts left. All those opinions fell flat. And that feeling of being alone vanished.

Because I finally made it to the finish line, after years of running blind through this entrepreneurial marathon

Now, going back to the country that kickstarted my copywriting career in a way… it takes me right back to the beginning.

Those early butterflies. Hope. Excitement. Adventure.

That feeling of finally taking a chance on yourself after years of playing it safe.

It’s the thrill of the chase — knowing you don’t know it all, but you know there’s something greater on the other side of the unknown if you just take the leap.

Being a beginner copywriter doesn’t mean you have to struggle for 12-36 months

Even if you’re new, you can move fast, like I did.

To land your first client in a few weeks, quit your job in a few months, and have a full time income within half a year to do whatever you want.

Whether that’s going on that dream vacation you’ve always wanted to do.

Or choosing to sleep in on a Monday morning for the first time ever.

Or simply having the ability to be done your work day by 12 pm so you can spend more time on your passions.

If you want some help fast-tracking your progress, then my coaching might be the right fit for you.

I’ve got one spot left in my group coaching program

The goal is to give you everything you need to build a $5,000-$10,000 copywriting business fast (even if you’re a complete beginner).

You’ll get weekly calls to get all your questions answered, DM access to me and a few other copywriters for daily support and accountability, and copy critiques directly from me to help you level up.

You’ll learn how to write copy that converts, how to land clients willing to pay you $1,000-$8,000 per month, and how to scale your business up to $100,000+ per year in just 4 hours per day like I’ve done.

If you’re interested in the final spot, reply with “coaching” now.

We start in 2 weeks.

-Brandon “back to Thailand” Storey

P.S. As a bonus, anyone who joins my coaching this month gets free lifetime access to The Six-Figure Copywriter Course ($347 USD value). Not sure when I’ll be offering this coaching program again, so reply with “coaching” now if you want some more details.
