Don't try to land clients until...

Every day I get messages from new copywriters like this:

“I’m struggling with outreach.”

“I just can’t land copywriting clients.”

“Nobody’s responding to my pitches.”

My first question is always the same:

“How good is your copy?”

And their response usually goes something like:

“What? No. My copy is good. It’s outreach that I need help with. I keep getting ghosted. I just can’t land clients.”

“Okay, so how much are you practicing your copy daily?”

“Brandon, I need help landing clients! Not with my copy!”

“How much time do you write?”

“Well… I’ve just been focused on outreach so I haven’t exactly been writing a lot…”

There it is!

I’m going to say this 5 times (because it’s crucial to understand)…

If you aren’t a good copywriter, you won’t land clients.

If you aren’t a good copywriter, you won’t land clients.

If you aren’t a good copywriter, you won’t land clients.

If you aren’t a good copywriter, you won’t land clients.

If you aren’t a good copywriter, you won’t land clients.

Got it?

Good!

I see way too many people skipping over a pretty important step when it comes to building a $10,000-$15,000/month freelance copywriting business:

Getting good at writing copy.

If you skip this step… or neglect it… or if you think writing for 5-10 minutes per day is enough…

Good luck convincing an internet stranger to hand over $1,000-$4,000+ every month (and get 4+ others to do the same).
