5 traits of the top 10% of copywriters

I noticed the same 5 traits in the top 10% (who hit $5,000-$10,000+ the fastest):

#1 They have a CLEAR goal for their life

They don't just "kinda want to get rich."

They know exactly what they want to do in business AND in life.

A clear income goal. A timeframe to get there.

And a vision for the life they want to live when they're making internet money.

For me, I set the goal for $5k/month by month 6 as a copywriter and $10k/month by month 12.

I didn't reach my goals.

But I came damn close:

$5k/month at month 7. $9k/month at month 12.

And $10-$15k months since.

Over $650,000 in copywriting earnings over the past few years.

#2 They silence the noise

Every beginner deals with imposter syndrome and self-doubt.

But many let the negative voices in their head hold them back.

The copywriters who move fastest face the same monsters. But they choose to ACT rather than let the voices paralyze them.

The way I dealt with self-doubt and the mental battles early on?

It's simple.

I stopped hanging out with losers.

And started spending time with winners.

In books, courses, online, in podcasts, YouTube, and in real life.

#3 They grind daily (consistent action)

Losers stop working when things get tough.

Winners keep working when things get tough.

The guys who land clients in the first 30 days are consistent.

Even guys working 40+ hours at their 9 to 5 find 60-90 minutes to write and outreach.

As a beginner, I worked a 12hr day job. All the odds were against me.

But I made it work.

I chose to wake up at 6 am before work to write. I listened to courses, audiobooks during my commute, and grinded on my days off.

I made evenings and weekends my copywriting playground.

#4 They invest in themselves

Guys who drop $50 vs. guys who drop $1,000+ are different.

Putting more money in doesn't just mean better help.

It's an outward reflection of the commitment they've made to themselves. It's skin in the game.

These guys simply win faster.

And, it's not just money.

They invest their time. Early mornings, lunch breaks at work, evening prospecting, weekends.

Even if it's 1-3 hours a day, these guys invest in themselves (and their business) daily.

As a beginner, I invested $5,000+ into my copy education.

AND 2-4 hours a day in my business outside my 9 to 5 (before I quit my job).

It helped me land my first client in 6 weeks, quit my job in 3 months, travel the world, and build a six-figure business in 12 months.

#5 They understand what true sacrifice means

Like point number one, they have vision. But without the ability to delay gratification, that vision is just a dream.

The winners who force their dreams to become a reality realize they're going to have to make some trades:

-Less video games, Netflix, partying with the boys -More writing, outreaching, and educating themselves

Parodox: if you trade "fun" now for "work"

You'll gain 100x more free time and money to do whatever you want for the next 50+ years.

Embrace the "dip" to get $10k months.
