4 weeks from now

Your life can change a lot in 4 weeks.

It doesn't feel like it can.

But it can.

Case in point:

Back in 2019…

When I was starting out as a new copywriter, I remember landing my first retainer client.

We’ll call him “Bob.”

It felt like a huge win for me.

It was blog post writing (easy work too).

But there came a point in time where I had to raise my rates because I had 3 clients at the time. But I hit an income ceiling.

So I let them know my new rates, and they declined. So I let them go.

It kind of sucked.

I felt a little defeated, especially since I had mustered up the courage to even send that email asking for a new rate.

But now I lost my biggest client.

But I got back to work. Invested in two email copywriting programs. Thousands of dollars.

This wasn’t exactly the right timing to invest a lot of money since I had just lost my biggest client. But I knew if I was going to keep growing my business, I had to take a chance on myself and do what I could do to level up.

It was a risk.

Four weeks later, I got a lead on two potential clients that would change the course of my life.

I found two guys on a Facebook group (a copywriting job board - which used to be a decent way to land clients).

I ended up Sniper Bombing the guys by giving a ton of free value up front. Free audit and sample to prove I can get the job done.

It worked. They liked it, so they hired me.

First project was $1,100 for a welcome email series (5 emails).

Second one was $3,500 for a website copy project.

In four weeks, I went from under $1,000/month to $5,000/month.

But that’s not all.

The next month, I got an even crazier lead. This time it was for a growing ecommerce startup.

He was doing about $60,000-$90,000/month in revenue.

The founder needed emails done.

4 weeks earlier, I would have NEVER tried to pitch him. I didn’t have the email skills or confidence to make it work.

But, I took what I learned from those two courses.

And from that first email series for $1,100 the month before…

And I carried that confidence forward in this pitch.

So I Sniper Bombed him (and gave him a free email audit).

And guess what?

I got him as a client.

To write 12 emails.

For (get this)…

$7,000 USD.

I did the project in just 3 weeks and he loved it. I could have done it in a week. But I wanted to take my time on it to make sure it was really good.

You see, when I lost that retainer client, “Bob,” it felt like all of my progress with copywriting came to a halt.

Like I had lost everything I had worked so hard to build.

I went out on a limb to renegotiate with my client, thinking I would be soon be making more money. But I ended up losing my biggest security blanket in income.

And then I immediately invested thousands of dollars into upskilling when I had my income cut in half.

(Not to mention, I had already quit my 9 to 5 at this point). It was scary. I can’t lie and say I didn’t wake up with some level of fear of everything failing.

You know what I realized?

Sometimes it feels like you're taking one step forward and one step back.

But if you keep on plugging away, good things will happen.

In just 4 weeks, I went from losing my biggest client (and being scared of what would happen next)…

To 5xing my income, landing two clients…

And then closing my biggest client ever for $7,000.

A few months later, I was earning $9,000/month. And then soon after $10-$15k months.

Travelling the world: Australia campervan trip up the east coast for 40 days. Chiang Mai Thailand. Islands in the south of Thailand for 30 days. Da Nang, Vietnam.

My wife was able to quit her job. I was making more than 2x I ever made at a 9 to 5.

And finally living life on my terms: working when I wanted. Playing when I wanted. Travelling when I wanted. And experiencing the freedom a 9 to 5 could never give me.

4 weeks is NOT a lot of time.

But what I've noticed is when things start happening in your business, they happen fast.

You put in the time, keep your nose to the grindstone, and for awhile... It feels like nothing is happening.

But all of a sudden...

Hockey stick growth.

Here's the deal:

If you’ve been struggling to build your copywriting business so you can trade the 9 to 5 grind for freedom… you should apply for my 1:1 copywriting coaching program.

That means if you are one of these 3, you should apply:

  1. Are brand new (and don’t know where to start)

  2. Have some writing experience (but haven’t landed your first client yet)

  3. Are making $1,000-$5,000/month (but struggling to scale to $10k+/month)

My coaching will give you everything you need to get started and actually turn all of your effort into real clients, real revenue, and the digital freedom you’re looking for.

The bad news is... the deadline to join is in this week.

And I only have two spots left.

It's decision time.

Time to hop off the fence.

If you're in, then do this:

Reply with the word “June” and I’ll share the details of my one-on-one program.

Brandon “everything can change in 4 weeks” Storey

P.S. Only two spots left, reply with “June” now.
